About the Course

The prevalence of thyroid disorders in the society has increased many fold in the past few decades. Apart from Hypertension and Diabetes they constitute a major chunk of the patient profiles in any GP’s or Endocrinologist’s clinic. Thyroid hormones are such that they influence pretty much all the body processes either directly or indirectly. This course describes briefly and comprehensively the role of thyroid hormones in the body, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, screening, diagnostic and monitoring modalities, and various treatment options.
