Diarrhea and the resultant dehydration is one of the most common causes of under-five mortality in the world. Lack of personal hygiene and safe drinking water is the major contributory factor. Early diagnosis, & simple cheap treatment options go a long way in saving the lives of young children. This course covers in detail the various types of childhood diarrheas, causative pathogens, pathophysiology of dehydration, and management of both the disease and its consequences.
