Pregnancy is a heightened state of physiological being. Different body processes are geared and attuned to meet special growth demands of the baby. Sugar levels, insulin and thyroid hormones have an omnipresent role in all of these body functions. In such a scenario, diabetes and thyroid hormone disorders have a significant impact on the mother’s physiological parameters, as well as the potential to effect the unborn deleteriously.
