About the Course

Burns are common and critical emergencies in ERs across the world, more so in developing and developed countries. Appropriate evaluation and treatment can bridge the difference between death and life. This course discusses the different types of burns, assessment of a case of burns, measuring the extent of burns, first aid, treatment options etc in detail. Wound care and supportive care which forms the mainstay of treatment is also explained.
