About the Course

A fully formed human fetus coming out of a small birth orifice is a natural marvel. It involves an interplay of mechanical forces and hormones. The force generated by mothers’ muscles makes the presenting part of the fetus negotiate the pelvic and cervical passages. Apart from the normal vertex presentation, pregnancy could be complicated by abnormal presentations like transverse lie, breech, face presentation, prolapse of cord etc. These conditions, their diagnostic features, risks and difficulties, remedial measures and management perspectives, are all explained in this course in detail.
